SHEET A-01  /  OVERVIEW

Taylor Treece

Director of Applications & Integrations at William Carey University

I build the systems that hold organizations together. Integrations, platforms, and automation that take manual work off people's plates. Most recently: cloud SIS migration, generative AI automation that cut processing time by 98%, and eight vendor integrations at William Carey University. Before that, a year at Waterfield Technologies building and selling cloud contact center solutions on Twilio Flex: twelve deployments, 80%+ follow-on rate. I've been on both sides of enterprise software. That changes how I approach a technical conversation.

SHEET A-02  /  GENERAL NOTES

About

  1. Three years in, then through, higher ed technology, currently leading a four-person development team at William Carey University, and before that building the internal tools and integrations that team now maintains.
  2. Before higher ed, spent a year in pre-sales and solutions consulting at Waterfield Technologies, designing and demoing cloud contact center environments on Twilio Flex. That work still shapes how I scope a project: discovery first, architecture second, build third.
  3. Comfortable moving between the whiteboard and the codebase: C#, ASP.NET, Python, and SQL Server on the build side; vendor roadmaps, board updates, and implementation plans on the other.
  4. Currently finishing an MBA at William Carey University, mostly to get better at the parts of the job that happen in meetings rather than in an IDE.

  • Cleaned up 3 legacy platforms and set the team's standards for source control, CI/CD, and documentation going forward.
03 2024 – 2025 Senior Programmer William Carey University
  • Built a centralized internal tools platform on Blazor, ASP.NET APIs, and IIS that departments across campus now use instead of one-off spreadsheets and scripts.
  • Ran technical discovery and solution design for new vendor implementations: data models, integration patterns, system boundaries.
02 2023 – 2024 Software Analyst William Carey University
  • Built RESTful APIs on ASP.NET 7 to connect academic and administrative systems that hadn't talked to each other before.
  • Applied machine learning and generative AI to automate transcript translation, cutting processing effort by about 98%.
01 2022 – 2023 Solutions Developer / Pre-Sales CX Waterfield Technologies
  • Designed and demoed 12 custom CCaaS environments on Twilio Flex, React, and Node.js; more than 80% turned into follow-on phases.
  • Stepped into a failing client engagement, ran a fast discovery and redesign, and kept the contract alive for two more phases.
  • Built deployment tooling that cut setup time by about 8 hours per environment.
